Fine needle biopsy: Hi. Most hyperechoic nodules are benign, but obviously the question is cancer. The nodule(s) 10 mm and greater in size will need fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) to look at cells; most endo's also do gene testing now on the sample). For peace of mind, the nodules are most likely benign and can be followed. FNAB results will clarify.
