Had nodules on thyroid for yrs. new nodule @ isthmus 1.2, moderately suspicious. now a new lump @ throat hollow. symptoms of hypothyroid, w/normal tsh except for high reverse t3. concerns? wait a year for new ultrasound?

Multiple nodules in a thyroid gland are usually benign. I don't think the 1.2 cm nodule can be totally dismissed as another benign one although I suspect it is. In a case like yours, not only like to have a thyroidologist or endocrinologist involved in the following of the patient, but I would now consult a head& neck surgeon with experience in thyroid surgery to evaluate, advise & follow you also
