A member asked:

This was picked up on my chest ct: 1.5 cm peripheral calcified nodule in right lobe of the thyroid. my pcp wont do anything cause my tsh is within normal range. is that normal?

I don’t see what “this” is but the TSH being normal makes it more imperative to invest a calcified nodule. You need thyroid ultrasound and referral to endocrinologist. If the nodule meets criteria for FNA biopsy it should be done. From the description it doesn’t sound like it will be malignant but FNA (fine needle aspiration) is an easy procedure so one is not missed. An ultrasound guided FNA bx!
