Telemedicine can be used as a complementary method in patient care but it should not replace direct patient care. By my opinion, direct patient care with physical examination should be the gold standard at first and then follow-up can be done by telemedicine at times.

Telemedicine is helpful if you have difficulty getting to a doctors office. It can give good ideas and suggestions to help with some problems but not all. The best situation is to be examined, have blood work done and any other tests indicated in the doctors office. A personal face to face is a bridge to confidence and lasting treatment.
