In general, can a neuroendocrine tumor as a sessile polyp be precancerous or is most always cancerous? a few days ago i'm told that it needs removal since it could become cancer and later metastisize. experienced doctor relocating next week.(??

All neuroendocrine tumors are considered malignant although usually slow growing. I recommend collaboration among an oncologist , gastroenterologist and a surgeon for best care and treatment approach.
