A member asked:

In my early 40s, what are the chances my endometrial polyps are cancerous if i have heavy periods, unpredictable blood flow and shorter cycles but no bleeding in between periods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The greater proportion of them are benign. The issue is you have had it evaluated; and even because of the dangers of the heavy periods could have it removed so they could ascertain that it is not cancer. However it is unlikely to be cancer, it would reassure you when removed and may have less trouble with your menstrual flows.
