49y/o premeno dx with 2.7cm pend. uterine polyp. bleeding between periods and heavy bleeding cycles. endo biopsy normal. chances of polyp being cancerous? and if so does uterus have to be removed?

Remove polyps: Most polyps are benign. Yours is quite large and causing symptoms so it should be removed. A hysteroscopic polypectomy is a very simple outpatient surgery. A hysterectomy is not an appropriate surgery for a simple endometrial polyp.
