I'm fairly new to excercise, i'm overweight. i have been doing 30 min circuit training and noticed my heart rate stays at 179 to 182 during the whole workout. is that safe? i do get a bit nauseated at times during and dizzy. i have had a normal ecg?

I would advise reducing the work load, keep the heart rate max at less than 150 bpm and you should be free from significant symptoms.

You're exceeding the recommended heart rate during a vigorous workout & you're not tolerating it. Your maximum heart rate is no more than 175-180/ min. You should not exceed 85% of this rate during your workout. I recommend having a treadmill stress test reaching a heart rate goal of 150/min to clear you for your exercise program.
