I had some bowel issues but my fecal calprotectin results were low (less than 15). does this rule out colon cancer?

No. But unless you have a family history of early onset colon cancer, your risk of colon cancer is low at this age. To screen for colon cancer you may get your stool tested for blood. Your drug store may have a kit to do the test at home or send the sample to a lab. Wish you good health!
