Had a clean colonoscopy 4 years ago. what are chances i have colon or rectal cancer? have had 4 bleeding instances (during straining) during bowel movements for the last 4 months. fresh blood on paper and staining stool. 44 m?

There must be reasons for why you worry mostly about cancer that are not visible. In general cancer is always possible, even 4 years after a normal colonoscopy, other frequently seen medical conditions would be more likely.

If you had a colonoscopy four years prior and the colon was visualized well, the chance of having colon cancer now are very low. If you’re having new onset of bleeding episodes, however, you should see your gastroenterologist for evaluation. Good luck.
