I was on bactrim for uti but it doesnt treat the one i have so dr is switching to cipro. i take metoprolol and when i looked it up it said it may react against it . causing it to metabolize slower and raise side affects should i ask for a different?

Make sure you treating Dr knows that you take Metoprolol. Ask specifically about this concern. There are many other medications that are effective against UTI's that do not interact with Metoprolol.
