The swelling should not take more than one week to resolve unless there is something wrong with the site, e.g. infection, residual tooth fragment, etc, especially you still have pain and the wound is not cleared up. You should go back to the dentist for a quick exam.

If you had or still have an infection an antibiotic is in order, otherwise anti-inflammatory OTC meds should help. If you have a dry socket you need further care. Have you contacted your oral surgeon? If not, now is the time for a post op visit.

Your telephone. The General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that treated you is responsible for your post-surgical care. Call and report swelling. Your problem may not have an OTC or computer click solution.
