I was diagnosed with atlectasis a few months ago after scarring on lungs from ct.i got pneumonia in november. still have shortness of breath after 7 months. the ic, tlc and fvs percentage was lower in the second pft. could it be pulmonary fibrosis?

Assuming you have never smoked could be. Review occupations associated with pulm fibrosis.

CT does not cause scarring. pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic condition . You need a thoro exam and follow=up from your pulmonary MD for proper diagnosis and management.

Chest xray showed pulmonary fibrosis and a nodule on the lower lobe. Can I do MRI instead of ct scan. Trying to avoid radiation ?
