Fever often will trigger night terrors which are distinct from nightmares. Monitor temperature and breathing. Wash your child tested for COVID 19 infection? Post COVID, there may be associated sleep disturbance. Keep a sleep diary for one week, consider a night light in the room and try not to wake your child up from sleep or this episode. Please follow up with your Pediatrician.
