Burning mouth syndrome is usually due to issues within the oral cavity, but discomfort can extend down the throat. You also have to rule out gastric reflux as a source of your problem.

Usually : Usually when you get past the tongue, you consider an ent. Tongue forward would normally be a dentist, and since you are really both, either one is a good start.
