Proper oral hygiene is brushing 2 or more times per day and flossing daily. If your oral hygiene has been lacking for a month, it is possible that you may have developed some damage to your teeth. See your dentist for cleaning and check up ASAP and work hard to maintain good oral hygiene as these are the onlly teeth you get, and they have to last until you are old.

A diet of carbohydrates, sugar, sticky foods that get between your teeth and acidic liquids can all cause destruction of the enamel of your teeth leading to cavities. Along with poor oral hygiene by brushing only once a day and a poor diet will lead to cavities and gum disease and pain. Solution go for dental treatment to maintain health and keep your braces from failing.

Failure to maintain proper oral hygiene while undergoing Orthodontic treatment will result in permanent damage to teeth, gums, supporting bone. Brushing only 1x/day combined with failure to clean between teeth daily is totally inadequate. See both your Dentist and your Orthodontist for a comprehensive oral hygiene program. simply put, you are failing at taking care of yourself.
