I am on macrobid for uti so far for 5 days. it's a 7 day course. i am feeling back pain and when i go to the bathroom it comes out very little. i repeated the urine test and it it was negative. what can back pain be from?

Back pain is a very broad term. With your history would worry about pyelonephritis. Fever? Urine smell bad? See your Dr or at least call office and tell them about where your are hurting.

Drink plenty of water Stop the med. Take Tylenol/ ibuprofen and use a heating pad. If after a few days not better pl se your MD. I think you will be fine.
