Please i am getting answers across the board but nothing concrete as far as what i asked,my esr is 39 is this normal my doc says 30 is normal but hasn't responded to the is 39 normal in over a month worried about amputation due to bone infection?

ESR of 39 is mild to moderately high, i.e. abnormal, and this is likely due to chronic inflammation in your case. However, we do not use ESR alone as a criteria for amputation in chronic osteomyelitis.

If your doc does not respond and you have a bone infection then see another ASAP-let her/him decide what needs to be done about the esr. Hope you do well.
