I have svt episodes and when i go to the er they detect it but when i go to the cardiologist they dont see anything. everything is normal. but it seems it can only be detected when i do have the episode only. im not real sure what to do?

That's the reason why we use the term "paroxysmal SVT - PSVT" in most cases. The tracing heart rhythm from ER is the definite proof. You may or may not need specific treatment which depends on recurrent rate, severity of symptoms, etc. If it recurs, see a cardiologist with electrophysiologist training (EP specialist) is preferred.

Follow up with cardiology is needed in the outpatient setting. There are specific devices that can be used, once recommended, from a Holter monitor if episodes are frequent to a loop recorder if infrequent. The cardiologist should be able to clarify if not needed as well.
