Can people make a full recovery from a stroke?

About 10% of people recover completely after a stroke and another 25% recover with a minor impairment. Recovery is different for everyone, it take a long time, sometimes years. Here is a good resource for information: https://www.cdc.gov/stroke/treatments.htm?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fstroke%2Frecovery.htm

Variable but seen excellent recoveries. Best outcomes with small lacunar infarcts, small emboli which cause transient symptoms and recannelize swiftly, small localized rapidly absorbing hematomas, younger age, lack of usual risk factors. Even with persistent signs, a combination of physical, occupational, and speech therapies may create a dramatic turnaround. And TPA may be amazing.
