Cystitis has nothing to do with kidney disease unless your child was treated with antibiotic(s) which can be toxic to the kidneys. With cystitis, hematuria is not uncommon and total protein in the urine can be high because of inflammation, albuminuria is more reflecting kidney disease. Serum creatinine is normal but it does not mean both kidneys are fine. Kidney ultrasound may be helpful.

Testing 24 hr urine while a patient has urinary tract infection is not accurate. 24 hr urine should be done when she has no cystitis and is asymptomatic- under care of a Urologist.
