See below: Same virus/bacterium causing sinus infxn can also infect throat & tonsils. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) should adequately treat bacterial infxn. Gargle with warm salt water & use NSAID (instead of tylenol) for throat relief. May want to be tested for mononucleosis (ebstein-barr virus), which can also cause symptoms u describe.
