I'm still working on tapering off metoprolol succinate 25mg. currently on 12.5 mg once a day. can i cut down the 12.5 by like a tiny bit like 1/16th every couple of weeks to avoid the side effects? it won't cause the drug to release faster?

You can stop this medication at this dose without significant rebound effect or you can take every other day then every third day then stop if you are too concerned.
