Hello. when i take the metoprolol succinate 25mg tab, around 5-7 hours later the skin on my back and stomach feels like its burning or itchy (i dont scratch) but there is no rash. is this common or cause for concern? thank you?

Just about any drug can cause itching or pruritus. The best way to see if the metoprolol is doing this to you is to stop it and see what happens.

I have been prescribing BB Since they came out but never had a pt complain of this. Go to drugs.com and look at side effects and frequency. Also do Drug interaction check.
