No problem with your: Age but diastolic BP is still elevated so would recommend a discussion with your physician.

Yes: If your diastolic blood pressure, the bottom number, is 90-92 on the metoprolol then you need something for blood pressure. If you occasionally feel light headed talk to your doctor. You may be able to take another class of medicine. Such as lisinapril.
