Does weight gain affect head size in newborn? baby boy was born 7lbs & 7 oz. he was 9lbs & 12oz at 1 month. his head circumference grew by 3.5cm from birth to 1 month old! is this worrying?

It is important that the head circumference was appropriately measured and you may want to put it on the growth chart. The head and body would grow with aging however the proportion of the head to the body would shrink over time. The trend on the growth chart should help you and also discuss with your pediatrician. If the baby is well why worry?
