Depends: What you describe may indicate a condition called nasolacrimal duct obstruction (nldo). It is fairly common in infants, and usually resolves spontaneously; however, it sometimes requires probing to open the ducts. I would recommend having your infant seen by a pediatric ophthalmologist to be certain.

Not normal: Could be blocked tear duct. Try massage gently tear duct at the corner of inner eye. If not working need probing to clear tear duct See pediatric opthalmologist.
