Can gingivitis occur without inflammation and bleeding? or a little redness near gum line could be due to brushing? had prof cleaning done 3 weeks ago & this appeared a few days ago, dentist didnt mention any problem at the time?

By definition, gingivitis is inflammation of the gingiva. You may have traumatized that spot Brush gently with a soft bristled toothbrush.

Overly aggressive brushing with medium or hard t'brush can cause your symptoms. Go back to or Dentist for reevaluation.
