A member asked:

Will running/walking on the treadmill 3-4 times a week for 30-45 minutes help to relieve my chronic back pain (mid/upper back)? when could i start to see results for it to subside? thank you?

Running and walking are great exercises for cardio but do nothing for the back. For that use massage hot packs or baths and if not better see your MD. Hope you feel better.

Treadmill exercise does not help your upper back pain but exercise to strengthen your back may be helpful. You can google "exercise for upper back pain" and learn how to do it.

You need to get an MRI prescription from your doctor to find out the reason for your back pain .Once the diagnosis is determined , than the proper therapy will be given.
