I had covid mid january and coughed non stop. i ended up hurting my area around my lower right ribs. i hurt it again by sneezing, fast forward to now it feels better but still aches. what could it be?

It sounds like you might have some bruising or pulled muscle from the coughing. However, if it’s still bothering you 2 months later, I would let your doctor know and have them examine you just to be sure.

Excessive coughing is associated with musculoskeletal inflammation of the chest wall. Discuss use of NSAIDs and local heat application, which often is effective in the management. If your cough continues, a chest image and evaluation for bronchospasm and pneumonia is recommended. Keep well hydrated, rest and watch for signs of shortness of breath and sputum production.
