A member asked:

How much effective will be pregabalin controlled/sustained release form for someone who suffers from idiopathic rls symptoms both day & night ????

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Now a day Pregabalin is one of the first-line therapy medications and is preferred because of good pharmacology and better data on efficacy, it may also help with sleep maintenance and total sleep time in patients with RLS and insomnia. But Gabapentin enacarbil (Horizant) is a better drug for patients with RLS symptoms throughout most of the day and night because it provided 24-hour coverage.
