What's the purpose of giving pregabalin with nortriptyline combination in rls? isn't just pregabalin itself effective for rls symptoms, why doctors prefer giving an anti- depressant medicine combination in rls when its supposed to be taken for years?

Have no insight as to "why doctors prefer", but will repeat fact that successful RLS treatment may involve dopamine agonist or even pregabalin. Have not found tricyclic antidepressants to be of value in RLS. Recommend you go to paid portion of HT and obtain virtual consult so a more thorough perspective can be explored.

I was stable on 100 mg Neurontin since last 1 year for idiopathic RLS & mild neuropathy, however now i feel its not working, doctor suggests either dose increase OR switch to Lyrica 50mg as i requested minimum dosage if possible . Please recommend?
