Does pregabalin sr ( sustained release) will be effective in case of insomnia? taking ir variant for rls but i suffer from daytime symptoms as well so thinking about switching to sr variant but at the same time, want it to help with insomnia issue?

Yes, if RLS is the main reason for insomnia but pregabalin is not used to treat insomnia by itself. In reality, some people may benefit one of pregabalin's side effects which is sleepiness. It won't hurt if you want to give it a try.

What's the purpose of giving Pregabalin with Nortriptyline combination in RLS? Isn't just pregabalin itself effective for rls symptoms, why doctors prefer giving an anti- depressant medicine combination in rls when its supposed to be taken for years?
I suffer from idiopathic RLS since last 1.5 years & have had anxiety issues since several years. I have tried different anxiety meds. but all of those aggravates my RLS badly. i am on Lyrica 75 for RLS but what are my treatment options for anxiety?
