A member asked:

I recently had a uterine biopsy done, and my results were inconclusive. i am a post menopausal woman, and my results did say something about "suggestive pyometra". is this cause for concern? also, i think i may have polyps. please advise, and thanks?

Pyometra means an accumulation of pus in the uterine cavity. We do not know the reason for the uterine biopsy which is often carried out for ruling out malignancy. Although you stated that the result was inconclusive, at least there was no evidence of malignancy, only possible infection and infection can be cured with antibiotic(s) or hysterectomy if indicated.

If you are asymptomatic and your clinical exam is neg then dont worry. polyps in the genital tracts are diagnosed by a gyn If you have not seen one pl do. I think you will be fine
