Benign uterine polyp: The 2 cm uterine polyp may not have been completely removed with the D & C procedure. The pathology report can reassure you that the tissue obtained at the D&C was benign. You can ask to see the pathology report to determine if it measured the 2 cm polyp on the report or it there were just fragments of uterine polyp tissue and endometrial tissue. The polyp can be removed under hysteroscopy.
