A member asked:

My mri for chronic headache/head pressure said ...prominent csf space in the superior posterior fossa, unchanged. it is favored that this represents prominent subarachnoid space/normal variation rather than an arachnoid cyst. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The normal MRI does not show anatomical or structural explanations for your chronic headaches, and is read as normal. (As are the vast majority of MRI's done to evaluate "headaches".) Suggest you investigate other causes of chronic headaches, such as migraine.
