Where you placed on antibiotics and pain medications? A difficult extraction can cause problems for weeks, so it is best you go back to your dentist for a postoperative exam and possible x-ray of area.

Healing has to do with degree of difficulty of the procedure, your overall health and your body's ability to heal, and complicating factors such as infection. Your Dentist is responsible for your post surgical care. Return to him/her for evaluation.
