I was diagnosed with an uti a week ago and started taking medication. i stopped yesterday after my test results came back normal. however i still have an urge to urinate when sitting down. what might be the cause of this?

What other symptoms do you have? what test did you have? interstitial cystitis, urethritis, overactive bladder, or infection all can cause the urge to urinate. There are some infections that don't show up on regular cultures. Speak to your doctor

drink plenty of water and avoid constipation. This urge to void should gradually get better if you had no infection.
