I took a home uti test, negative results. i have lower back pain, low fever, trouble urinating completely, small amounts. could this still be a uti?

See your doctor: The home UTI tests are not perfect and can miss infections, especially if drinking lots of fluids and urine is dilute. Also, other things could cause these symptoms, such as intestinal or pelvic infection. You should be seen professionally. If the back pain is severe or fever over 100F (38C), contact your doctor today -- or an urgent care clinic or hospital ER if s/he isn't available. Good luck!

Yes, possible: that this was a false negative result. Symptoms are highly suggestive of uti. If you have fever and back pain, the infection might have spread to kidneys, so you should get to your doctor asap.
