Magneseum deficiencies are seen commonly in patients with type 2 diabetes. Adding sitagliptin or other diabetic medications does not seem to alter the level of magnesium deficiency. Magnesium deficiencies are easily correctable with daily supplementation. Talk to your Dr about your specific situation, other medical conditions you may have or other concerns.
