Am taking 50k iu vit 8wks for vit d deficiency. should i take magnesium as well to support absorption and decrease muscle pain? if so what dosage? ty!

Don't think so: I see no reason to take magnesium with this good dose of vit d. If you wonder about deficiency of magnesium, you can ask your doc to check levels. It is ok to take otc mag 250 mg or 400mg daily for a few days on your own without blood test. But, if you you have kidney disease or take other prescriptions you need to clear it with your doc since interaction may occur.
