The term "urethritis" is used mostly for men, not women. The usual term in women is "urethral syndrome". Some cases of urethral syndrome are just a limited form of UTI and respond to the same antibiotics, but many are caused by inflammation that apparently isn't due to infection antibiotics do not help. Keep working with your doctor. Good luck.

UTI means urinary tract infection and urethra ( outer urinary passage) is part of it. If the medicine did not work then either the infection causing bacteria are not sensitive to it or the diagnosis is wrong. One does not ask a doctor for their choice of medicine. Pl drink plenty of water and see a Urologist for proper management. Hope you feel better
