Hi i have a hard pimple like big bump on my back. it does not have a head. it is very sore to touch. even running irritates it. laying on my back hurts and sitting up from couch. is this normal? will maybe go away on its own? thanks?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It may be inflammation of a hair follicle. If it does not get better in a couple of days, it would be prudent to see a doctor. If it ruptures, apply triple antibiotic cream to the raw area. Wish you good health!

Your lesion has to be evaluated as it can be an irritated cyst or hair follicle as Dr Singh suggested. Other possibilities cannot be ruled out and having it addressed timely would be best.
