The vaccinations approved for children are safe and effective. They are currently recommended for children in this age range. Watch for signs of the flu and if this occurs, they should be tested for influenza and COVID 19. Children may develop MIS C following COVID 19 infection, and this is largely preventable by the COVID vaccination available in the U.S. More information iavailable at CDC.gov

COVID-19 vaccine is available, safe, and found to be effective for children 6 months and older and adults. In the US, it is emergency use authorized for 6 months and up and fully authorized for 16 years of age and up (Pfizer); 18 years and up for Moderna. I encourage everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated and boosted! (July 2022)
