The most significant effect of your genetic make-up upon cardiovascular risk are the contributions from your mother and father. Your grandmother's history provides some only a small fraction of the picture. Genetics are only one of multiple cardiovascular risk factors. Others, such as hypertension, diabetes, ones lipid levels, diet and life-style, are additional risk factors.

Your risk is low as long as you stay active with healthy life style.
