You could be.: Triglyceride elevation is often due to excessive calorie/carbohydrate intake, excess alcohol intake. Whether you have significant risk of heart attack will depend on additional risk factors you may have, such as family history, abnormal cholesterol levels, high blood pressure etc. Recommend that you get a full evaluation by your doctor to further assess your risk.

Elevated triglyeride: level is one of several risk factors of coronary artery disease. The idea is to minimize risk factors. Some risk factors cannot be modified, such as family history. But others can be minimized or even eliminated with life style modification or meds. Consult with your doctor specific advice.
