Cardiologist put me on beta blockers _for hypertension&palpitations mainly at night once daily_ (dilatrend25mg)half pill twice daily. i'm diabetic&i take janumet&ryzodeg. my endocrinologist said it's ok to take betablockers. is it ok or chang my drs?

Your doc would not have recommended it if it was not safe. However if you dont trust him/her see another.

It sounds like there was good communication between your doctors treating your diabetes and hypertension/ palpitations. While the use of beta blockers in diabetics remains somewhat controversial, trusting your docs will be critical in the long run to achieve the best possible health outcome.

You don't mention whether an arrhythmia was determined to be the cause of your palpitations and what type, if any, was noted. Beta blockers can block symptoms of insulin reactions. Ace inhibitors,like lisinopril, unless you can't take them,are good antihypertensive medications for diabetics as they provide kidney protection. I have to think your cardiologist and endocrinologist are giving you good
