Work: His cardiologist knows him best and he should follow his instructions and advice. As far as risky exposure to chemicals, in this day and age,it would be unlikely. His low left ventricular EF could cause chronic fatigue and shortness of breath with exertion so, hopefully, his job doesn't require strenuous exertion or prolonged standing. Upgrading to a biventricular pacemaker may improve his EF.
