If you have DM, controll of blood pressure is very important to prevent diabetes associated complications as kidney failure, blindness... Hypertension even in non diabetic is mostly without any symptoms unless reaches much higher number . Most common symptoms can be headahce, malaise , poor sleep or just not feeling " right". We call it " silent killer " becasue people many times do not know.

It's important for you to maintain a blood pressure of 130/80 or lower. Hypertension very often causes no symptoms.You're now taking an angiotensin receptor blocker which protects your kidneys. Your fast pulse contributes to your high BP. Thyroid,EKG& echocardiogram should be checked. A beta blocker can slow your pulse but could mask insulin reactions. A low dose diuretic helps BP but raises sugar
