It depends on the reason for esophagitis. Aastric reflux, doxycycline getting stuck in the esophagus (for example if swallowed with only a small sip of water), and yeast infection (which can be triggered by doxycycline) all have potentially different implications and perhaps need for treatment. Best to discuss with the clinic or doctor who prescribed doxycycline.
